Minden, Germany Uses Janssen Process to Reduce Groundwater Infiltration

After several failed attempts with relining products, the city of Minden, Germany solved the problem of groundwater infiltration at lateral connections using Janssen Process. With the process, a fast-curing resin is pressure-injected to fill the gap between lateral and mainline, and any voids behind. The result is a sealed structural connection with a service life projected to exceed 50 years. By renovating just 6 laterals, the city was able to reduce volume at the neighboring pump station 65%.
